I am not in any way a computer tech so I think Microsoft should look into their support people. I still think I would like the reader to be able to work since it did work before the update yesterday. After 1 hr and 45 minutes of horrific Microsoft 'support' ,I went in and disabled the Alcor micro USB card reader and it worked. I thought I should mention this since a high level Microsoft person is reading the thread. I am not sure how this works but is it possible to get bug fix patches as well? Is it basically just an Enterprise license with the ability to only get security patches, but won't allow you to upgrade features? Can one get the upcoming upgrade features if they purchase right after the release or is it trailing further behind feature wise? At least there is a way to lock down a working config and still get security patches. Pricey option but doable if you have a Pro license already.
